Fly Fishing Charters in Sarasota, FL
Sarasota fly fishing charters — grass-flat trout and redfish on 8-weights, dock-light snook, May–July beach tarpon on 12-weights. Four hours from $550.
What Makes Sarasota Different.
Sarasota is a legitimate fly fishery, not a novelty booking. Our trips on Sarasota Bay run in layers through the year, and every layer eats a well-presented fly.
Spotted seatrout and ladyfish work the grass flats with an 8-weight any month; redfish crawl the bars on summer flood tides; snook hold the dock lights after dark — the closest thing to a guaranteed eat in fly fishing — and 80–150 pound beach tarpon come on 11- and 12-weights May through July.
Bring your cast: a 40-foot presentation that lands quietly out-fishes a 70-footer that crashes.
Much of it is a sight-fishing game, so light and wind matter — we'll tell you straight what the day can and can't produce, and the tides guide helps you pick a window. We supply flies and rigged rods if you'd rather travel light. Four-hour trips from $550; tarpon are catch-and-release.
