Venice puts you on inshore fish faster than almost anywhere on this coast. We launch at Higel Marine Park — find it in the boat-ramp directory — and reach the Venice Inlet jetties in under ten minutes, where snook stack on the rocks from May through September.

The first hour of light is the best hour of the day. Fish the jetty rocks before the sun clears the treeline, then move as the tide turns.

From the inlet the trip works north into Roberts Bay and Dryman Bay for spotted seatrout over grass in 3–6 feet, or south toward Lemon Bay when the redfish are tailing.
